This was a really fun piece to do with the color palette. Blue Starlite Drive-In is a dusty, old archaic movie showing venue Austin’s east side. I recently learned its moving to 51st street, so I decided to pay homage.
Hi Brent! I just wanted to let you know we have a working drive in theater here in Mountain View! We have not attended, but hope to one time this summer. Your painting is cool! Donna

Thanks Donna! It was a fun painting to do! Awesome coloration
I love the cool colors with the inkling of warmth.
Thank you, Matthew. This was a really challenging piece. With most the colors being cool, it lent itself to having warmer colors as the focal points.
